Dr. Michal “Missy” Johnson is a graduate of Teachers College, Columbia University and has a Master of Arts, her Master of Education, and a Ph.D. in School Psychology. Her training in graduate school included extensive experience working in clinical, school, and foster care settings. Some highlights include working for Montefiore Medical center assessing and providing therapy for individuals with learning disabilities, working in New York school districts with children on the Autism Spectrum and with the neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, and finally working in the Anxiety and Mood Disorder clinic for children and adolescents at NYU Child Study Center. She returned to Utah in 2019 to complete a yearlong internship at Primary Children’s Hospital in behavioral health and adolescent day treatment programs where she received additional training in neuropsychological assessment.

Missy provides assessments for various needs including neuropsychological, psychological, learning disability, and autism spectrum disorder. She enjoys the complex and interesting aspects of assessment to best identify the needs of a child, provide diagnostic clarification, and recommend supports for families
to explore.

Outside of work, Missy loves spending time with her family and traveling around the world. She is always
looking for new places to visit and explore. She also loves returning to New York City and eating good
food and seeing as many Broadway shows as she can.
